Jay comes to the NJ/FL team at Loan Factory with more than 50 years of widely diversified real estate experience, and a strategic vision to bring everything together in one place to reduce stress, lower costs, and streamline the process for current and future homeowners.  Both share a vision for simplifying homeownership and making homeownership more affordable.  Loan Factory uses efficient, second to none technology which provides fast and cost efficient loan processing.  Jay understands that borrowers want more than technology, they want a real human with local knowledge and real answers to walk them through every step of the process, to anticipate and avoid potential pitfalls, and to get the best possible results tailored for their particular and unique circumstances.

Loan Factory is both a mortgage broker and a mortgage lender in NJ & FL and does business in 48 states.

For Jay, joining Loan Factory was a unique opportunity to semi-retire and help his children’s and grandchildren’s generations achieve the American Dream of safe, affordable and sustainable quality housing and the accumulation of generational wealth.

Jay became a real estate salesperson in NJ in 1973, a real estate broker in 1986, and began facilitating residential mortgages as a correspondent with major national lenders in 1993.  He is currently a licensed real estate broker in NY and FL and a licensed mortgage loan officer in NJ, FL and PA.  He is a licensed insurance broker in NJ, PA and FL, an inactive title insurance and settlement agent in NJ.

Jay was a Certified NJ Municipal Real Estate Tax Assessor.  

Jay was formerly Broker of Record for a NJ based, commercial and Investment focused, real estate brokerage and business brokerage firm.  Jay has been a NASD General Securities Principal specializing in real estate direct participation securities and focused on institutional and accredited investors.   Jay was formerly a member of the Board of Directors of the TriState Commercial and Industrial Board of Realtors.

With Loan Factory he can facilitate commercial, investment, construction and business purpose loans in 45 states. 

In his lifetime Jay has been involved with over $10 Billion in US residential, commercial and investment real estate.

Jay attended Rochester Institute of Technology and graduated summa cum laude from William Paterson College.  Jay attended the Rutgers Graduate School of Business, and  earned his JD from the Rutgers-Newark School of Law and his LL.m.(Tax) from New York University School of Law.  He earned associates degrees from The University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey School of Health Related Professions, Camden County College and Excelsior College.

Now retired, Jay has been admitted to practice law in New York and New Jersey, and various Federal courts including the United States Supreme Court.

Jay is a retired member of the NJ Society of CPAs.

Jay holds the Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC) and Chartered Property and Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) professional designations.

Jay was adjunct faculty at the Lubin Graduate School of Business at Pace University.  He is an instructor and course director for a variety of continuing professional education programs including for real estate salespersons and brokers.

Jay became a volunteer firefighter in 1971, and has been a volunteer firefighter and EMT.  He is trained as a NJ Fire Inspector and was a FL Paramedic.  He was a NJ Fire instructor and an PA EMS instructor, and is still an American Red Cross instructor and instructor trainer and a volunteer member of the Medical Reserve Corps.

Jay is an amateur radio operator, a merit badge counselor with Scouting America, and a member of the US Coast Guard Auxiliary.

Jay and his wife Kat both grew up in Ridgewood, NJ, both graduated from Ridgewood High School and Rutgers University, and raised their children in Moorestown, NJ.  They have 2 children and 5 grandchildren.
